The Bittarelli family has been living and working at the Castiglione del Lago farm since 1940, although they took ownership in 1970. The family-run management involves organic farming methods for the cultivation of legumes, including the Fagiolina del Trasimeno, the ancient legume typical of the region, protected by the homonymous Consortium.
Since 2013, the Bittarelli Farm has also been an Educational Farm with the aim of offering educational activities to children and adults, aimed at introducing and preserving the professions of farmers and the rural world, the products of the vegetable garden and other crops, environmental respect, knowledge of typical and genuine productions, and their tasting.
Since 2017, all products from the Bittarelli Agricultural Company, including those in the “I già pronti” line, are certified VeganOk.
Recently, a Farm-to-Table restaurant has also been opened, where, by reservation, you can enjoy typical dishes prepared with Bittarelli products and other strictly local ingredients.
