In questi ultimi giorni del mese di Febbraio 2019, arrivano come sempre maschere, coriandoli e carri allegorici. Arriva insomma il Carnevale, il tempo dell’allegria e del tornare tutti un po’ bambini.
Noi di Bella Umbria abbiamo preparato qualche consiglio su dove passare il Carnevale 2019 in Umbria, che quest’anno si apre l’28 Febbraio, giorno di Giovedì Grasso e termina il 5 Marzo con il Martedì Grasso.
Ecco allora le iniziative previste con i Carnevali di Spoleto e Gubbio, il Carnevale dei Ragazzi di Sant’Eraclio e quello dei Bambini di Acquasparta, con il Trionfo del Carnevale di Avigliano Umbro e con le Giornate del Bartoccio a Perugia.

Carnevale in Umbria a Spoleto (Pg)

La storica manifestazione del Carnevale di Spoleto giunge quest’anno alla 191esima! Non perdete la sfilata dei 12 carri allegorici prevista lungo il percorso che si snoda tra le vie del centro storico, cui parteciperanno circa 1600 figuranti. Tra i temi dei carri in sfilata, “Disney”, “I Simpson”, “C’era una volta Pollon”, “Oriente”, “L’Arca di Noè” e molto altri, tutti da scoprire!

59esimo Carnevale dei Ragazzi, organizzato dal Centro della Gioventù, nella cornice unica di Gubbio! Dalle ore 14:45 sfilata di maschere e carri allegorici per le vie e piazze del centro storico e a seguire assegnazione del XXI° Trofeo Mascherissima. Una giornata all’insegna dell’allegria e del divertimento!

Il tradizionale Carnevale di Sant’Eraclio si svolge a Foligno ed è anche noto come “Carnevale dei Ragazzi”. La manifestazione, giunta quest’anno alla sua 58esima edizione, nacque nel 1960 su iniziativa del parroco Luciano Raponi ed altri carnevalari che decisero di costituire un apposito comitato per i festeggiamenti, riportando così in auge quello che era uno dei più antichi Carnevali della regione.
Nelle 3 domeniche previste, in programma i tipici Corsi Marscherati, la sfilata dei carri allegorici di cartapesta accompagnati da maschere, musica dal vivo, bande musicali, marching band, coreografie di gruppi mascherati e tanto altro. Il Carnevale si concluderà in bellezza nell’ultima domenica, i 3 Marzo 2019 dalle ore 19:00, con lo straordinario spettacolo pirotecnico “La Gabbia di Fuoco”! Nella giornata di Martedì Grasso, il 5 Marzo, previsti invece l’ultima apertura dell’Osteria.
Durante tutte le serate della manifestazione, infatti, sarà aperta l’“Osteria del Carnevale”, dove l’allegria e la voglia di giocare fanno da cornice ad un menù ricco di gustosi piatti della tradizione locale (si consiglia la prenotazione, tel. 333 1360820 dopo le 15:00).

Nelle tante giornate in programma per il Il Trionfo del Carnevale 2019 del piccolo borgo di Avigliano Umbro, le protagoniste sono le celebri Maschere della Commedia dell’Arte: Nasotorto, Chicchirichella, Rosalinda e Nasoacciaccato. Si tratta delle 4 maschere scoperte proprio ad Avigliano Umbro nel 2015, dopo un lungo e accurato lavoro di ricostruzione delle filastrocche locali del Cinquecento portato avanti da Oliviero Piacenti e Paola Contili.
Un programma ricco di eventi, dalle feste in maschera alla rievocazione storica del Gran Ballo Barocco con maschere seicentesche di domenica 24 Febbraio, fino alla Battaglia dei Rioni di domenica 3 Marzo in cui le squadre si sfidano nei giochi antichi.
Carnevale dei Bambini 2019 – Acquasparta (Tr)

Quello di Acquasparta, meglio conosciuto come il Carnevale dei Bambini, è uno dei carnevali più amati dell’Umbria. Nelle domeniche in programma, a partire dalle ore 14:30, le vie del piccolo borgo saranno attraversate dalla tradizionale sfilata di Carri Allegorici. Divertimento assicurato per grandi e piccini con musica dal vivo, lancio di peluches dai carri, palloni e tanti altri gadget. Tra i temi previsti quest’anno per la sfilata dei carri, troverete “Heidi”, “Super Pigiamini” e “Pinocchio”.
Taverna La Cantina aperta nel centro storico tutte le sere dal 22 Febbraio al 3 Marzo e a pranzo solo su prenotazione nelle domeniche del 24 Febbraio e 3 Marzo! Trai i piatti che potrete gustare i Picchiarelli al Sugo, le Lenticchie di Castelluccio, gli Arrosticini del Cantiniere e tante altre specialità.
Le Giornate del Bartoccio 2019 – Perugia

La città di Perugia celebra l’antico protagonista del Carnevale perugino con circa quindici giorni di festeggiamenti, eventi, spettacoli, canti, musica e tante sorprese. Bartoccio da Pian del Tevere è difatti la tipica maschera carnevalesca locale, nata nel ‘600 e poi tramandata nella letteratura dialettale e nella satira popolare; la maschera incarna un contadino che si esprime in un dialetto semplice e rustico, dall’indole burlesca e furba, specchio critico della realtà dell’epoca.
La società del Bartoccio si propone di far rivivere l’antica tradizione, organizzando i festeggiamenti del Carnevale con giornate coinvolgenti ricche di iniziative culturali e popolari. Segnaliamo per grandi e piccoli il suggestivo Spettacolo di Burattini “Il Bartoccio Invisibile” curato da Tieffeu, sabato 2 Marzo.
Per questo 2019, le Giornate del Bartoccio coinvolgeranno anche alcune località limitrofe come Torgiano e Monteleone di Spoleto, con feste e divertimento domenica 3 Marzo. Proprio a Torgiano, è prevista in particolare la Sfilata dei Carri con il Bartoccio.

The traditional Sant’Eraclio Carnival, also called “The Young’s Carnival”, will take place in Foligno. The event, at his 58th edition, was born in 1960 with an initiative of the priest Luciano Raponi and others locals who decided to establish a committee ad hoc for the festivities, bringing back to the top one of the oldest carnivals of the region.
During the three Sundays planned, there will be the typical “Masked Corsi”, the parade of the papier-maché floats accompanied by the masks, live music, marching bands, choreographies by masked groups and more. The Carnival will end on last Sunday, the 3rd March from 7:00 pm, with the extraordinary fireworks show “La Gabbia di Fuoco”! On 5th March, there will be the last opening of the typical Osteria.
For all the nights of the event, there will be the tavern “Osteria del Carnevale”, where games and fun will be the background of a rich and tasty menu of local dishes (reservation recommended, tel. 333 1360820 after 3 pm).

2019 Triumph of the Carnival – Avigliano Umbro (Tr)

During the many days scheduled for the Triumph of the Carnival organized in the little village of Avigliano Umbro, the protagonists are the famous Masks of the Commedia dell’Arte: Nasotorto, Chicchirichella, Rosalinda and Nasoacciaccato. These are the 4 masks discovered in Avigliano Umbro in 2015, after a long and careful work of reconstruction of the local sixteenth century nursery rhymes carried out by Oliviero Piacenti and Paola Contili.
A program full of events, from fancy dress parties to the historical re-enactment of the Grand Ball with seventeenth-century masks on Sunday 24th February, until the Battle of the Rioni on Sunday March 3 in which the teams will compete in ancient games.
2019 Children’s Carnival – Acquasparta (Tr)

The Carnival of Acquasparta, better known as the Children’s Carnival, it’s one of the most popular carnivals in Umbria. During the three Sundays of the event, from the 2:30 pm, the streets of the small umbrian village will be crossed by a traditional parade of floats. Great fun for all ages with live music, launching of peluches from the floats, balloons and many others gadgets. Among the themed floats, there will be “Heidi”, “Super Pigiamini” and “Pinocchio”.
The Tavern La Cantina in the historical center will be open for dinner from 22th February to 3rd March, and for lunch only by reservation on Sundays of 24th February and 3rd March. Among the best dishes you can taste: Picchiarelli pasta with sauce, lentils of Castelluccio, Arrosticini of Cantiniere and many other specialities.

2019 Days of Bartoccio, Perugia

The city of Perugia will celebrate the old protagonist of the Carnival of Perugia with a fortnigh of festivities, events, performances, songs, music and a many surprises. Bartoccio from Pian del Tevere is infact the typical local mask of the Carnival, born in the ‘600 and then passed on in the dialect literature and in the popular satire; the mask embodies a peasant who expresses in words of a simple and rustic dialect, with a burlesque and cunning nature, a critical mirror of the reality of the time.
The Bartoccio’s Company aims to revive the ancient tradition, and they will organize the festivities of the Carnival with many engaging days, rich of cultural and popular initiatives. We suggest the evocative show of puppets “Il Bartoccio Invisibile” curated by Tieffeu, on Saturday 2 March.
For this 2019, the Giornate del Bartoccio will also involve some neighboring localities such as Torgiano and Monteleone di Spoleto, with parties and entertainment on Sunday 3 March. Precisely in Torgiano, it is planned in particular the Parade of Carts with Bartoccio.
