Dal 20 Aprile al 18 Agosto 2013 il Museo della Porziuncola di Santa Maria degli Angeli e la Galleria d’Arte Contemporanea della Pro Civitate Christiana, Assisi, ospiteranno la mostra dedicata al rapporto tra scrittura sacra e l’arte Dalla Parola, l’Immagine. L’Arte che legge la Bibbia.
Potrete ammirare:
- tutto il ciclo del “Miserere” di Georges Rouault (Galleria Pro Civitate);
- l’intera serie grafica, 24 litografie, de “La Storia dell’Esodo” di Marc Chagall (Museo della Porziuncola);
- la serie dedicata a “Le 12 tribù di Israele” di Salvador Dalì (Museo della Porziuncola);
- la “Piccola Passione“, 36 xilografie più frontespizio, di Albrecht Dürer (Museo della Porziuncola). .
Inoltre, una mostra didattica sull’evoluzione ed il significato del testo sacro ed anche, per la prima volta in esposizione, sezione presso il Museo della Porziuncola, un numero considerevole di opere che alcuni tra i più grandi artisti contemporanei italiani, ad esempio Domenico ‘Mimmo’ Paladino e Sandro Chia, hanno riservato alla Sacra Scrittura per l’edizione del Nuovo Lezionario CEI.
Per l’inaugurazione, sabato 20 Aprile 2013 ore 16:30 Museo della Porziuncola, sarà presente Giuseppe Fusari, Direttore del Museo Diocesano di Brescia e docente presso l’Università Cattolica di Brescia.

L’Arte che legge la Bibbia (From the Word, the Image. The Art that reads the Bible).
You will admire:
- the whole cycle of the “Miserere” by Georges Rouault (Galleria Pro Civitate);
- the entire graphic series, 24 lithographs, of “The Story of the Exodus” by Marc Chagall (Museo della Porziuncola);
- the series dedicated to “The 12 tribes of Israel” by Salvador Dalì (Museo della Porziuncola);
- the “Small Passion“, 36 xylographs plus frontispiece, by Albrecht Dürer (Museo della Porziuncola).
In addition, an educational exhibit on the evolution and meaning of the sacred text and also, for the first time in display, section at the Museo della Porziuncola, a considerable number of works that some of the greatest Italian contemporary artists, such as Domenico ‘Mimmo ‘Paladino and Sandro Chia, had reserved to the Holy Scriptures for the edition of the CEI New Lectionary.
For the opening, Saturday, April 20th, 2013 at 16:30 Museo della Porziuncola, will be present Giuseppe Fusari, Director of the Diocesan Museum of Brescia and professor at the Catholic University of Brescia.
