Il Festival dei 2 Mondi, sotto la direzione artistica di Giorgio Ferrara ( già direttore del Festival da ben 7 anni), giunge quest’anno alla sua 57esima edizione: è un evento ormai noto a livello mondiale, dove innovazione e tradizione dialogano ad armi pari, dove confluiscono culture diverse, quelle del passato e quelle del presente, dove artisti famosi e emergenti calcano la scena e allietano il sempre vasto pubblico che segue il Festival.
Alcuni dei nomi di questa edizione:
il Premio Oscar Tim Robinson che dirigerà il “Sogno di una notte di mezza estate” per la compagnia statunitense Actor’s Gang, Gerarde Depardieu con lo spettacolo Love Letters di B. Lavigne.
Luca Ronconi che dirigerà Danza Macabra di Strindberg, con Adriana Asti. Il Maestro Riccardo Muti a dirigere l’Orchestra giovanile Cherubini al Teatro Caio Melisso, con proiezione esterna della performance attraverso maxi schermo.
A chiusura dell’evento è previsto un mega concerto dedicato al musical americano degli anni 40 e 50.
