Accensione Albero di Gubbio, l’Albero di Natale da record
260 luci colorate disegnano e illuminano la sagoma del celebre Albero di Natale di Gubbio, il più grande del mondo, con i suoi 650 metri di altezza. Le luminarie formano infatti un Albero da record lungo le pendici del Monte Igino, che sovrasta la magnifica città medievale di Gubbio.
Per tutto il mese di Novembre, gli alberaioli sono stai al lavoro per le operazioni di montaggio e allestimento dell’area: è dunque ormai tutto pronto per l’accensione ufficiale, che avverà come da tradizione nella serata del 7 Dicembre, alla vigilia dell’Immacolata.
Per questo 2018, l’accensione dell’Albero di Gubbio sarà davvero speciale: protagonisti saranno infatti i piloti delle Frecce Tricolori, che incanteranno i presenti con le loro acrobazie attraversando i cieli di Gubbio e tingendoli di verde, bianco e rosso. Stella Cometa di Miranda, la cometa che decora Terni
Varie iniziative accompagnano l’accensione della suggestiva Stella di Miranda. La cometa, allestita alla sommità dell’omonimo monte, presso il piccolo borgo storico di Miranda, sarà accesa per tutto il periodo natalizio e brillerà sopra Terni e la conca ternana. La suggestiva stella, che occupa una superficie complessiva di 30mila metri quadri, forma un diametro di 105 con la coda di ben 350m, ed è visibile da chilometri di distanza.

Inauguration of the Christmas Tree of Gubbio
260 coloured lights will draw the famous Christmas Tree of Gubbio, the largest one in the world with its 650 meters of height on the slopes of Igino Mount, that overlooks the medieval town of Gubbio. Throughout the month of November, the “alberaioli” (workmen for the tree) worked to prepare the area and to assembly the lights.
So all setting is now ready for the official lighting, the inauguration of the Tree that will be held as usual on the evening of 7th December, the eve of the Immaculate day.
For the 2018 edition, the lighting of Christmas Tree will be really special: protagonists are the pilots of Frecce Tricolori. Their airplanes will enchant the guests with many acrobatics, crossing the skies of Gubbio and pain

Comet of Miranda
There will be various initiatives together with the lighting of the Comet of Miranda that, from the summit of the namesake mountain, will shine throughout the Christmas period and will dominate Terni and the Terni basin. The charming star, which occupies a total area of 30.000 square meters, forms a diameter of 105 with a tail of 350 meters, and it is visible from kilometers away.
